Position: Technician – Catheterization Laboratory

Our client in Flagstaff, AZ, is seeking a Catheterization Laboratory Technician for a 13 week assignment.

Qualifications/Requirements

Preferred: One to three years of experience as a Technician
Additional certifications may be necessary for this role
Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions and demonstrate proficiency in PC skills
Physical capabilities: Ability to remain stationary, move about, handle equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull and bend as needed

Responsibilities

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members
Provide and coordinate patient care in collaboration with other healthcare team members
Monitor patients’ responses to interventions and report outcomes
Administer medications as ordered and maintain accurate documentation
Monitor and evaluate patients pre, during and post procedure based on unit protocols
Share on-call responsibilities with a 30 minute response time if required
Maintain cleanliness of rooms and ensure adequate stock of supplies
Transport patients as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and work with a variety of personnel to maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance
Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to handle equipment and assist with procedures as needed
Mental Requirements: Capability to manage frequent interactions with the public and meet deadlines under pressure, work independently or with minimal supervision and maintain attention to detail
Sensory Skills: Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
