A Matter of Faith” boldly attacks a topic that almost everyone is interested in–Creationism vs. Evolution. This quality movie features solid acting including two veterans, Harry Anderson and Clarence Gilyard.
- Rachel Whitaker (Jordan Trovillion) was raised by loving parents in a Christian home and she is about to embark on her collegiate career. The college is three hours away and her father is a good man and a typical father, placing a $50 bill in her Bible before she leaves home with it. Jay Pickett does an excellent job as Rachel’s father, Stephen. When Rachel gets to her new school she is intrigued with her Biology teacher, Professor Marcus Kaman (Anderson). Biology is Rachel’s major (she plans to be a pharmacist) and Kaman is a big proponent of evolution. He starts off his class by showing the students a rubber chicken and an egg.
